Welcome To Troop 66
A Message from Our Scoutmaster
Welcome and thanks for visiting the Troop 66 website which is maintained by our Boy Scout Webmaster. Troop 66 was formed in June, 1925, making us one of the oldest Boy Scout troops in Longmont, Colorado. Troop 66 recently celebrated our 97th anniversary, and are looking forward to 100! Our list of Eagles is over 90 members long and dates back to 1936. We still work diligently to provide quality Scouting opportunities to love the outdoors, have incredibly fun adventures that challenge us, and that help to produce more Eagle Scouts. Our activities are heavily centered on outdoor training and skills and frequently involve camping, biking, backpacking, winter camping, pioneering, water sports, shooting sports, and survival skills. If you have further questions please contact me via the Contact Us page or feel free to visit a Troop meeting anytime to check us out.
Yours in Scouting

Standard Schedule for the Troop meetings
- 6:45 Service Patrol set up for flag ceremony, PLC check-in
- 7:00 Flag Ceremony and Announcements
- 7:10 Planned Activities (see above)
- 8:15 Games
- 8:30 Cleanup by service patrol
Service Patrol Responsibilities
- The Service Patrol is responsible for setup BEFORE the Troop meeting. So everyone in that patrol needs to be there 15 minutes BEFORE the meeting (6:45).
- The Service Patrol is also responsible for helping clean up AFTER the Troop meeting. So please plan on staying 15 minutes AFTER the meeting to help put everything away and return the rented space to a Leader approved, "Better than we left it" state. Our gracious host will appreciate it.
